Types
The right chemistry for the car.
Flooded lead-acid
The standard battery in most older and budget cars. Reliable, affordable, and the right choice when that is what the car was built for.
EFB
Enhanced flooded batteries for entry-level start-stop cars. Fitting a standard battery here shortens its life badly.
AGM
For start-stop, premium and European cars with heavy electrical loads. Usually needs registering to the car after fitting, which we do on the spot.
12V lithium & auxiliary
Found in some EVs and luxury cars. We fit what the manufacturer specifies, nothing else.

Terminals and clamps
Loose or corroded clamps cause as many no-starts as dead batteries. We clean and tighten them first.

The battery itself
A load test measures what the battery can actually deliver on a start, not what it reads sitting still.

Alternator output
If the alternator is not recharging, a new battery will be flat again in days. We check before you buy.

Starter draw
A starter pulling too much current looks like a weak battery. The test tells them apart.
